To that end, we help you develop a birth plan that is consistent with your own needs and goals. Because no two patients are alike, our approach to labor and delivery is equally diverse. While we support, for example, women who choose an epidural for pain relief, we are also advocates of labor support doulas, acupuncture and natural childbirth.

A patient portal is a secure online website that gives patients convenient 24-hour access to personal health information from anywhere with an internet connection. Using a secure username and password, you can review health information. You can also communicate with the practice to request prescription refills, schedule non-urgent appointments, update contact information, download forms and view educational materials. You can access our portal on our web site at rgoa.com. If you do not have a portal account, call our office at 585-461-5940 to receive assistance with portal setup.
RGOA's secure portal allows you to access your information from our practice and to communicate with our practice. MyChart is URMC's patient portal, which reflects services provided at URMC. Information such as lab results ordered by RGOA providers from URMC's lab may appear in MyChart.
Yes, most providers are accepting new patients.
RGOA participates with all of the major local payers including Medicare and Medicaid as well as numerous other plans. However, it is your responsibility to understand your coverage and limitations of which providers you have access to. Due to the vast number of individualized policies and networks, we recommend that you contact your health plan to verify that RGOA is "in-network" for you and to determine your co-pays or applicable deductible and coinsurance amounts. RGOA does not participate with Wellcare, MagnaCare, Martin's Point, Today's Options, Emblem Health/GHI, Humana, faith based cost sharing programs and First Health.
Please be prepared to present identification and your current insurance card(s) at every appointment.
Rochester Gynecologic & Obstetric Associates and all of our physicians are tier-one providers of the Accountable Health Partners, which is a three-tier benefit program from the URMC Health Care plan.
Payment is due at the time of service for all applicable co-payments, deductibles and non-covered services. For your convenience, RGOA accepts all major credit cards as well as cash and checks. Our billing staff will be happy to answer questions regarding charges, insurance billing and payment options.
Office visits are by appointment only. Both routine and urgent appointments can be scheduled by phone by calling 585-461-5940. In addition, you can request non-urgent appointments on our patient portal by clicking on Appointment Request. On the portal, you can indicate the type of appointment and dates and times that may work for you. Our office will schedule your appointment and contact you through the portal to confirm your appointment date and time.
